Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Triskelion Industries LLC, doing business as Avoyelles Phone Shop (“Avoyelles Phone Shop,” “APS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on avoyellesphoneshop.com and other APS websites that link to this Policy.
For information about how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information more generally, please read our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser on a computer, phone, or other device. They can help a website remember a session, keep a shopping cart available, recognize a signed-in user, retain preferences, prevent fraud, and understand how the website is used.
We may also use similar technologies, including browser local storage, session storage, software development kits, tags, and device or session identifiers. In this Policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
2. Categories We Use
Necessary
Necessary technologies support services a visitor requests and functions required to operate and secure the website. They may be used to:
- maintain a shopping cart and checkout session;
- keep a user signed in;
- process an order or subscription;
- prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- remember cookie and privacy choices;
- support customer chat, account verification, and requested support features; and
- preserve information needed to complete a transaction or comply with law.
Necessary technologies are active without optional-cookie consent because the affected service may not function properly without them. A browser may still block them, but doing so can prevent account, checkout, chat, security, or other requested features from working.
Functional
Functional technologies provide optional features or remember choices that are not strictly required for the website to operate. Depending on the feature selected, they may remember display preferences, enable optional embedded content, or support enhanced interactions.
Where consent is required, functional technologies remain disabled until the visitor selects this category.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our public website. Google Analytics may process pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, session timing, and diagnostic or performance information.
We use this information to measure traffic, identify problems, and improve our website and services. We do not use Google Analytics for behavioral advertising or retargeting. Where consent is required, Google Analytics remains disabled until the visitor selects the Analytics category.
Marketing
We do not currently use behavioral-advertising, retargeting, or social-media advertising pixels on the public APS website. The Marketing category is therefore disabled unless and until we introduce a technology that requires it.
If we introduce marketing cookies, we will update this Policy and the consent interface before using them where prior consent is required.
3. Payment, Account, and Communication Providers
Some necessary technologies are supplied or supported by service providers when a visitor uses the relevant feature:
- Stripe processes online payments and may use fraud-prevention, checkout, and payment-session technologies. A customer may save an eligible payment method for later purchases or automatic subscription renewals. Stripe retains the complete card information; our website retains a processor token and limited display information such as card brand, last four digits, and expiration date.
- Square processes payments made in person or through an APS mobile checkout and may use payment, device, and fraud-prevention technologies.
- WooCommerce supports our online store, shopping cart, checkout, customer account, order, and subscription functions.
- Google or another enabled identity provider may use technologies when a visitor chooses that provider to sign in.
- Google Firebase may support public or in-app chat, authentication, messaging, notifications, and related security functions.
- Brevo and Google/Gmail may support transactional email and communications.
- Apple and Google process purchases made through their respective application stores and operate under their own policies.
A provider receives information only when its service is used or enabled. Provider technologies may be governed by that provider’s privacy and cookie documentation in addition to this Policy.
4. Embedded Content and External Websites
Pages may include links to or embedded content from another website or service. An external service may collect information or use its own cookies when a visitor loads or interacts with that content.
Where an embedded feature is optional and prior consent is required, we classify and block it until the visitor selects the appropriate category. Links that take a visitor to another website are governed by that website’s policies after the visitor leaves our site.
5. Your Choices
When the cookie banner is enabled, a visitor can:
- Reject optional technologies and continue with Necessary technologies only;
- Choose individual Functional, Analytics, or Marketing categories; or
- Accept all available categories.
The buttons are alternatives. A visitor does not need to accept optional technologies to browse ordinary public content or purchase an item, although declining a category may disable an optional feature that depends on it.
The Cookie Settings button remains available after a choice is made. A visitor can use it to change or withdraw consent at any time. A changed choice applies to future use. Technologies already used before withdrawal cannot be undone, and information already collected may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Consent Record and Duration
We store the visitor’s selections in a Necessary first-party cookie named aps_company_consent. The record identifies the consent format version and whether the visitor permitted the Functional, Analytics, and Marketing categories.
The preference cookie is configured to remain for approximately 180 days unless it is deleted earlier. We may ask for a new choice sooner if our categories, technologies, or consent terms materially change.
Other cookies and similar technologies last for different periods. A session technology ordinarily expires when the browser session ends. A persistent technology remains until its configured expiration, deletion by the visitor, or removal by the provider. Payment, account, security, and transaction records may be retained separately from browser cookies under our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
7. Browser and Device Controls
Most browsers allow a user to view, delete, or block cookies and site storage. Mobile operating systems and applications may offer comparable privacy, tracking, notification, or identifier controls.
Browser or device controls operate separately from our Cookie Settings tool. Blocking all site storage can sign a user out, empty a shopping cart, prevent a saved preference from being remembered, or stop other requested features from working.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when our website, providers, technologies, or legal obligations change. The revised Policy will display a new “Last updated” date. When required, we will request a new cookie choice before newly introduced optional technologies are used.
